We would love to publish every worthy book, but because of our size, we can only publish 8-12 titles a year.

Unfortunately, we are fully committed to other books through the spring of 2019, and we will not be accepting or evaluating any more manuscripts for the foreseeable future.

Please check back here to see when submissions reopen. Please do not send manuscripts or queries at this time, we do not have the time to respond to everyone.

If you would like to be informed of when we re-open submissions we highly recommend you like our Facebook, follow our Twitter account, or subscribe to receive our emails! We only send emails on average once or twice a month, so you won’t be bombarded.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

In General, this is what we say when we are accepting submissions  . . .

We are a very small independent publisher with a focus on New England regional books in the areas of memoir, history, art, nature studies, and poetry, as well as venturing into thoughtful books that explore sustainability of both the earth and the spirit.

• We do not publish fiction.

• We only accept finished manuscripts.

The best way to see if what you have written is something we would consider is to look at our list and see if it fits.

Thank you for thinking of us.

If you are a poet, we hope you will consider the May Sarton New Hampshire Poetry Prize.

If you have a nonfiction essay collection we hope you will consider the Monadnock Essay Collection Prize.

If you’re a first-time author unsure of how to go about finding a publisher that’s right for you, we suggest utilizing the small press database in Poets and Writers.
